Summary:

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for Butterfield Trail Village residents.

 Essentials Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide dietary services in accordance with established guidelines, state and federal laws and Office of Long Term Care regulations.
  • Develop nutrition plans and implement interventions based on knowledge of resident's current health.
  • Complete assessments of residents and adapt nutrition plans as needed.
  • Implement personalized, age-specific and culturally appropriate nutrition strategies.
  • Deliver resident nutrition recommendations to physicians, nurses, aides and dining staff.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling for residents.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

 

Education, Licensure and Education:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics
  • Licensure: Current certification as a Registered Dietitian with Arkansas License.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare facility as Registered Dietitian is preferred.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families and staff.
  • Genuine care for and interest in elderly in a health care facility.
  • Must be compassionate and patience.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Organized, professional, detail oriented, goal driven, and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to organize & prioritize job responsibilities.
